EACH WITH HIS OWN

August 2017, Ekaterinburg

In Russian, the word order is conditional and variable, and such freedom becomes a source for new meanings and interpretations. So, the phrase “good will conquer evil” can mean extreme opposites. We emphasized it: the word “conquer” is circled in phosphorus and therefore it glows in the dark, and the word “evil” is written in phosphorus alone, it is not visible during the day, but it appears in the dark only. As a result, during the day the phrase is read as “good will conquer”, and at night - as“evil will conquer”.
